Rotating belt for Schweizer Zucker AG, Aarberg
The new rotary belt replaces the previous construction for distributing the sugar beet in the round silo. The silo serves as a storage facility between sugar beet reception and production.
The conveyor belt construction we built has a weight of 19,500 kg and is suspended from a slewing ring under the truss bridge. The truss bridge is located above the round silo, which has a diameter of 70m and rotates through 360°.
The turntable enables the material dump to be fed with approx. 20,000 m3 of sugar beet from the centre to the edge of the silo.
