Belt turn station

The transport of bulk over long distances is often done with belt conveyor systems, especially in the non-metallic minerals industry, mining and for lignite. In order to scrape adhering material particles from the conveyor belt after the transfer of the bulk material, a great number of scraping systems are used on conveyor belts in actual practice. These scraper systems are often very expensive, subject to high service costs and effort and can, given insufficient maintenance, damage or even destroy the conveyor belt. In practice, consistent and thorough cleaning results on the conveyor belt are only very rarely attained with these scraper systems, with the result that the operator of such belt systems incurs enormous cleaning expenses plus correspondingly high labour costs.
