Customised designs for perfect track preparation

«From 2028, we will be replacing ballast and sleepers on the 14 lines of the Paris metro - with a globally unique, 100% electric conversion train specially developed, manufactured and operated by Scheuchzer. This innovative machine makes it possible to replace ballast and sleepers on both the traditional 'sur fer' and the 'sur pneumatique' metro.

For material transport (old and new ballast), we will integrate 23 customised conveyor belts into the conversion train. In partnership with Frei Fördertechnik AG, a long-standing partner and leading expert in the field of conveyor technology, we can draw on creative and efficient solutions. Together, we develop customised constructions, such as the mobile distribution ploughs, which make a critical contribution to the success of this unique project.»

«The collaboration with Frei Fördertechnik AG was, as usual, professional and goal-orientated. We received excellent support for the engineering, production and realisation of our conveyor system right from the start. A total of 155 metres of conveyor belts and truss bridges, a carriage and two platforms were installed. Adaptations were also made to the existing conveyor technology.

The quality of the robust conveyor belts and platforms as well as the precise expansion of the entire conveyor technology are of a very high standard. Despite difficult installation conditions under the existing roof and complicated commissioning, Frei Fördertechnik AG provided us with skilled and helpful support right through to completion.

Innovation with power - machines for track construction and maintenance

The project

Landor AG

Birsfelder Auhafen, a hub on the Rhine river, connects river, rail and road, making for optimal conditions for simple and inexpensive logistics. The unloading station of Landor AG was refurbished for the unloading of cargo ships with power shovels to the new silo with batch feed belt (year of construction 2013). In 2023 we are building a conveyor system in the port of Muttenz to link up with the fertiliser warehouse.

Auhafen Muttenz / Fenaco Genossenschaft

Fenaco planned a new transhipment platform and grain collection point for grain and derivatives in the Auhafen in Muttenz. A new ship unloading and silo facility with integrated rail unloading, rail loading, truck unloading and truck loading with a loading capacity of 250 tonnes/hour for both trucks and rail is to be built. Existing sand silos were converted and a new silo over 70 metres high was erected for the facility. It has a storage capacity of around 40,000 tonnes.
