Project
The conveyor system handles cartons in various sizes, ranging from 200 × 300 mm to 400 × 600 mm, and feeds them reliably to the downstream system. The cartons are picked up with the short side facing forwards at a height of 650 mm and then gently conveyed to a height of around 3.5 metres by a continuous vertical conveyor. Defective cartons are diverted in advance via the NiO section.
The solution ensures a continuous and controlled flow of material and supports the efficient further processing of the cardboard boxes. Thanks to the integrated contactless buffering section, the boxes can be temporarily stored if required and transferred to the downstream system as and when needed. This increases flexibility in plant operation and helps to optimally supply downstream processes.
Particular emphasis was placed on ensuring reliable integration into the overall plant. The conveyor system was installed during the major refurbishment of the production facilities. Thanks to careful planning and coordination, the new solution was tailored to the requirements of the production environment and integrated into the existing system design.
For Fresh Food & Beverage Group AG, this means a high-performance and process-reliable conveying solution that optimises the internal material flow, reduces manual handling and creates the conditions for an efficient production process.
