Sand trap

The sand traps ensure that the material is sorted and washed, and meet strict standards.

The requirements for aggregates from natural deposits or crushing plants are constantly increasing. Only pure, washed material or material with an adjusted composition meets the strict standards. To ensure this, sand traps are often used in sand processing in the stone and earth industry.

The sludge components are discharged via the water outlet. The screw conveyors in the sand trap transport the settled solids (sand/fine sand) to the scoop wheel, where they are discharged by means of scoop buckets. Vacuum chambers increase the dewatering capacity.

The double sand trap has two independent speed-controlled scoop wheels. Simultaneous use as a sand and fine sand trap enables both a 0/4 and 0/1 product in a single operation and all resulting mixtures. Sand traps are characterised by precise separation cuts, correction options and load-dependent speed control with precise measurement and evaluation.
