Clarification tower

Enquire via basket

Clarification towers are an important component in process water and sludge treatment. Thanks to their compact design and technical capabilities, space-consuming sludge ponds and costly dredging are now a thing of the past.

The dirty water, which has been treated with flocculant, flows into the clarification tower via an inverted funnel. The dirty water flow is thus inevitably directed downwards.

The upward flow generated causes the bound and therefore heavier dirt particles to settle in the conical lower part of the clarification tower. This is where the drain valve is located, which is controlled fully automatically by a pump and activated by the sludge requirement of the sludge basin.

At the top of the clarification tower is the overflow for the clarified process water that accumulates at the top. This flows into a storage tank and is reused in the washing process.

Clarification towers can be designed with a wide range of volumes (approx. 15-220 m3). The ratio of diameter to height is subject to flow calculations.
