Weiacher Kies AG

For the Lafarge company Weiacher Kies AG in Weiach, a completely new crushed sand plant was implemented in 2007.

Developer: Weiacher Kies AG

Place: Weiach

Project: processing plant for crushed sand

Year of construction: 2007

Project
Frei Fördertechnik took on the comprehensive planning and implementation. The crushed sand processing plant is fed from the existing raw material silo of the gravel plant. Round gravel of 4 to 32 mm is withdrawn from the silo. A drainage screen with dryer feeds the material into the crushing silo. Two parallel large sizers equipped with electrical trace heating are fed via the cone crusher and a bucket elevator. From there, the crushed sand arrives at four silos, while the oversized material is transported back into the crushing silo. From the silos, the crushed sand can be brought to the end customer via railway loader or truck loader. Besides the conveyor belts and the batch feeder systems, a vibrating chute, sand screws, drainage screen with dryer, bucket conveyor as well as all switches, sheet metal and steel constructions for the machines were manufactured, delivered and installed. The cone crusher, two sizers, the control system and the steel construction were purchased directly by the client.
