Vigier Beton Berner Oberland is building a new gravel plant to replace the four old plants in the region. The raw material of the external sites is transported to Wimmis by trucks. On their way back, they take processed components with them.
Project
Frei Fördertechnik AG was the general contractor for the new construction of the gravel plant. Great flexibility in the design phase with many adjustments yielded an optimal solution for the processing of four different raw materials from the pit on site as well as from the external locations (rivers, lakes). The four different raw materials are mixed together in the discharge basement and prepared with premium equipment.
Special features
- Removal of non-floating organic material from rivers and lakes by the pulsator jig
- Production of two different types of sand (pumping sand, natural sand) by sand graders
- By draining sand centrifugally, only one silo is necessary at a time
- Simultaneous feeding of truck loader and concrete plant by two collector conveyors in the batch feed channel
