Project
Frei Fördertechnik AG took on construction management and vulcanisation for this contract. Core tasks such as project planning, drive stations and tensioning stations, carriages, hopper discharge belt and all conveyor belt elements were manufactured in Rubigen and brought to Abu Dhabi by ship. The remaining steel structures were produced locally by Mertec AG in Ras al Khaima (UAE) based on the exact plans drawn up by Frei Fördertechnik AG. The finished system consists of a Liebherr ship unloading crane, which unloads the bauxite or fluorspar delivered on barges into the feed silo. With a silo discharge belt, the material is brought in batches to the hall feed conveyor.
