Crusher
Lumpy feed material is mechanically crushed by crushers into smaller particle sizes, ranging in size from coarse to medium. They are used mainly for the production of broken minerals from rocks.
The various types of crusher are fundamentally different in their mode of operation (pressure crushing, impact crushing, etc.) and in their crushing effect:
- Jaw crusher (pressure crushing/reduction ratio approx. 3 to 9)
- Cone crusher (pressure crushing/reduction ratio approx. 7 to 10)
