Corrugated edge conveyors are mainly used for the in-house transport of packaged and unpackaged unit loads or bulk goods. Corrugated edge conveyors are mainly used as ascending conveyors in conjunction with cleats. This way, the bulk material can be conveyed vertically upwards without it "trickling back" on the side or in the conveying direction. Corrugated edge conveyors are manufactured in various designs depending on the type of use. There are straight and ascending conveyors, those with a bend at the top or bottom as well as Z-type conveyors (also called S-type conveyors). Z-type conveyors are used in applications in which the bulk material (or small unit loads) requires a horizontal feed and a height difference must be overcome.
